Chloe is a descendant of a family of witches and has the gift of prophecy. More like a curse really, seeing as she foretold her parents death and moved to the opposite side of the country as soon as possible after it came true. Now she's back, returning to help her family when her grandfather falls ill with cancer. While at the hospital she meets a guy who just might be exactly what she need. With the uncertainty about her grandfather and starting to accept her powers he could be what was necessary to keep her sane. As long as everything doesn't fall apart around her.
I loved this book. It was sweet and suspenseful, the characters unique and diverse. Just an all around good book. They confront parts of their past and start to be prepared for the future.
This is a blog about books by a bookworm and I will be reviewing pretty much whatever I get my hands on.

Forever and Always by Jasinda Wilder
Caden and Ever met when they were 15 at a camp for talented young artists. Drawn to each other they decide to become pen pals. Over the years they share everything with each other growing closer and closer. What will happen when they finally reunite?
This book hit me in the feels. The ending made me cry, no I'm not going to spoil it for you. Just be forewarned it's intense and emotionally charged.
I absolutely loved this book. It shows how love can happen even when you don't realize it. And that you know it's love for sure if it really is. Read this book it's incredible. Now I must go read the sequel so I can find out what happens next.
This books contains graphics content of a sexual nature. You should avoid this book if you aren't a fan of such things.

Eternal Vows by Chrissy Peebles
Sarah is a Bigfoot researcher, trying her best to prove that these creatures are real. Investigative reporter Frank has pretty much made it his mission in life to debunk her findings. So when they find a real life Bigfoot and stumble into an alternate dimension Frank starts to become a believer. If having huge creatures following you and thinking you're lunch wasn't bad enough try being mistaken for a princess, then forced to marry an immortal king then running away from him on your wedding night. Yeah life isn't so easy for Sarah in this dimension. But hey it'll all be worth it if she can find her sister who disappeared when she was 15.
This story was a little bit hard to get into and stay interested. The premise was good but I've read so many books over the years that are similar and this one didn't stand out very much. That's not to say it isn't a good book because it is, just a bit scripted but who knows maybe the rest of the series will stand out from the crowd a little better.

The Uncanny Valley Tales From A Lost Town by Gregory Millerp
A contest to tell what makes your town special where most people wrote about festivals, local hero's and stuff of a similar nature. However thirty three people form one town wrote about the creepy, the unusual and the strange. This is their stories, stories from Uncanny Valley.
I'm not going to lie I got this book primarily because of the title due to a personal connection. Nonetheless it was a really good collection of short stories. Mainly in the vein creepy pasta, short scary stories, but really good especially if you like a little bit of a scare. My favorite story was Lillian Sweeney's Music.
If you read this collection you should comment with which story is your favorite as well.

Yvette is a stay at home mom, a life full of scouts, helping with homework, and dealing with a complaining neighbor. When she receives a box ment for her neighbor Mona, Yvette braves going to her house and Mona begins a terrible tale one that will affect Yvette more then she realizes.
This book was so intense and shocking that there is no way to tell what's coming. There's Taliban involvement, betrayal, murder and so much more. I could not put this book down it's captivating. I look forward to the rest of this series and hope it will be just as spellbinding.

With his heart as abused as hers will they be able to become friends again? Or maybe even more?
The old high school sweethearts reuniting story, but with the twist of heart-wrenching loss that affected them both in completely different ways. A very sweet story and the beginning of an equally sweet series.

Jars of Clay by Lee Strauss
She is the master's daughter he is the son of a freedman any interaction between them is forbidden but love? That's punishable by death. At least for the boy, she'd just be married off. A fate as terrible if not worse. This is the destiny of Helena and Lucius. For they have done what the must not they fell in love.
A historical fiction that switches POV between the lovers and a few of the other characters. It is a short sweet story a few inaccuracies as far as the history goes but a good story none the less.

However things don't exactly go according to plan and she ends up married to him. Will they get a happily ever after or will the Duke 's dark past tear them apart?
Such a good story! It's a historical romance set in London where marriage was almost never for love, it was a business transaction. So true to form this book does the opposite of what probably would have happened in real life. Then again that's what fiction is for! Also this is a great example of the genera.
