Catwin was a nobody a servant girl good at slipping into places unnoticed and unseen. This book had everything mystery, intrigue, and suspense. You see two girls put through things that someone their age shouldn't ever encounter let alone endure. They act as though they accept the plans that surround them while at the same time quietly rebel.
This is a book I couldn't put down and I look forward to reading the other two books in the series.
