A Brief Summary:
Family's look perfect from the outside, but what happens when you take a closer look? Join the Stanley's as their world come crumbling down as Jack's secret is revealed.
My Review:
This book takes a very real view of a family falling apart. How a partners infidelity revealed can cause a tenuous relationship to crumble, it was remarkably well done.
You get to see everything unfold from the entire family's perspectives. How it affects the woman who was betrayed, the father who made a mistake, the eleven year-old daughter, the son about to be come a man, you see everything.
They books layout was an interesting choice, jumping around in the timeline, with the futures of the family being told in the middle, and the end of the book taking place in the middle of the timeline. It shows a certain inevitability to events that take place, that no matter what, they'll end up in the same place.
I received this book courtesy of NetGalley and Random House publishing in exchange for my free and honest review.
This is a blog about books by a bookworm and I will be reviewing pretty much whatever I get my hands on.

All This Time by Tiffani Burnett-Velez
A Brief Summary:
Having a loved one with PTSD can be extraordinarily difficult but when they decide to take their life it's tragic. Lydia's fiancee took his life just after he started getting help. However what happened while he was on tour wasn't what was reported to the media. Join Lydia as she tries to find the truth of what happened to her fiancee while he was overseas.
My Review:
This book was so incredibly touching. Throughout enormous hardships Lydia stands by her fiancee's memory as she searches for the truth.
I love that this book deals with some harsh realities. The fact that if you happen to be the same race as a small group that has caused atrocities, you will be judged even blamed for their actions. That our military has and will cover up things that don't paint them in the best of lights. Life is a spectrum of grays and this book portrays that exceedingly well.
Lydia is an incredible character. Dealing with the repercussions of going against her family's wishes, reconnecting with them, and dealing with who her fiancee became after coming home from his tour in Iraq, her strength is incredible.
All in all an amazing book that I recommend for everyone.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow I'm hosting a blog tour stop for this incredible book and a new cover reveal.
